Information We Collect

When you use SkateMap, we may collect:

• Account information — username and email address when you create an account
• Location data — used to show skate spots near you and to pin new spots on the map
• Photos — images you capture using your camera to add to skate spots
• User-generated content — spot names, descriptions, and any other content you submit

How We Use Your Information

• To display skate spots and power app features
• To associate content you post with your account
• To improve the app over time

Third-Party Services

SkateMap uses Google Firebase for authentication, database, and storage services. Firebase may collect usage and diagnostic data. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely via Google Firebase infrastructure. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Location

Location access is used only while the app is active to show nearby spots. We do not store or track your location history.

Camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to add a photo to a skate spot. Photos are stored only if you submit them.

Reporting a Spot

To report an incorrect or inappropriate spot, open the spot details and tap the "Report" button. Reports are reviewed manually.
